Connie was born and raised in Indiana and has a degree in Education from Purdue University. She taught first grade as David, her husband, finished his degree from Purdue. Upon David’s graduation, he entered the Air Force as an officer. With each assignment, they found an Independent Christian Church and immediately became involved. Connie has taught different ages from Toddlers to High School children. They were stationed in Madrid, Spain for four years. They started a Pre- K Sunday School program as there was nothing for their two little girls. At many of the stations where they were assigned, they headed up Children’s programs, from Sunday School classes to VBS programs to Youth Groups. Connie married David Cain on August 23, 1958 and they were married until his death in 2011. They have four children, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Connie’s passions are sewing, travel, crafting, crocheting, but her main one is to work with children. She continues this by heading up Kid’s Point at One Church.
